Heat Treating

BendTec performs heat treatment operations on metals with induction heating equipment utilizing scanners and with batch furnaces.

Local stress relieving of a weld  The following types of heat treatment are performed.

  • stress relieving
  • normalizing
  • annealing
  • quenching and tempering
The Induction scanning equipment will handle pipe and shafts up to 42 feet long. One machine is capable of scanning bends with straight tangents on both ends.

The large batch furnace will heat components up to 1,950 degrees Farenheit and has the following inside dimensions: length 50 ft, width 15 feet, height 15 feet.  Our second furnace has inside dimensions of 8 ft by 8 ft by 12 ft.

Facilities are Available for Pickling and Passivating Stainless Steels.
